Wieder provides an open source platform that helps optimize waste management and resource circulation.
Companies and local governments aim to use Wieder to properly dispose of waste, reduce CO2 emissions, and promote resource circulation. To that end, we are developing and regularly updating multifunctional tools that promote resource circulation, such as electronic manifest support, waste data management, and recycling matching.
Start-up Story
A resource circulation platform born from a reuse company
We were founded by separating from a reuse company that dealt in music-related merchandise.
What we saw in the course of our daily reuse was the analog and information-closed nature of the waste and recycling industry.
Garbage problem
While various products and services are created every day and our lives become more prosperous, the waste problem is gradually becoming more serious.
Specifically, there are future risks such as CO2 emissions, the aging of the industry, and the remaining life of landfill sites.
In the future, our economic model of using, throwing away, and creating new things will need to be changed to one based on the idea of a circular economy, where we look at how to collect used items and return them to the market as resources.
Our Role
Rather than simply throwing away garbage, we are developing software that utilizes data and technology to reuse garbage and recycle resources.
Through Wieder, we would like to provide businesses and individuals who work every day with the option of recycling instead of disposing of waste.
